Well, I created a "Travel Anywhere" searchroll with lots of my favorite sites for world travel info. It's a usefull and timesaving device. Also, easy to achieve.

Playing with #10 & #11

I've been playing with the online generators and Library Thing. My goth name is "synthetic darkness" and seeing my name on a chocolate bar was fun. In fact lessons 10 & 11 were loaded with lots of playful things to do and I could spend a lot of time with them. Also,I'm tempted to add every book title I've ever enjoyed on Lirary Thing. Regretfully, I shall move on to the next lesson.

Progress

Played around some more with Flickr. Liked the worldinpictures.org where you put in a location like Munich, Germany and it is converted to latitude/longitude to find Flickr photos from that locale.
Also, read a Library Journal 6/07 article on podcasts. My son gave me an ipod last Christmas and I downloaded some of my favorite music. It's great for walking, but now I'm learning the audio possibilities.
Next I joined bloglines and set up some cool feeds. That was easy - news, librarian sites, national geographic. Too bad there are so many adds popping up. But I need to explore this further.

Adding a photo

Well, here's a photo of my sweet Shu taken last winter during the big snow. My home computer crashed twice in the past few months, most recently 2 weeks ago, hindering my efforts to work on the library 2.0 in my spare time. I should be getting back on track now.

Detour

Went back and watched the tutorial for the 7 1/2 Habits and will try very hard to implement the "challenges, not obstacles" credo. Been jumping around and did examine Flickr last week, but wasn't sure I would use that photo sharing program much. Also learning about RSS feeds, but I need to spend more time on that. I'll just keep forging ahead and try to follow a more direct path this time.
